Super Famicom

PJ Here. I started the project Super Famicom in 2002, recording acoustic guitar on a tape recorder in my parents' basement. Within a week, I released a CD-R called Memories on Index Cards. A month or so later I played my first solo show and sold 50 of those CD-Rs. Since then I've played in countless bands from the Illinois area, Saint Augustine, and Bloomington Indiana. I've toured the country as Super Famicom, and the midwest/south east with many bands. Those experiences should qualify my experience as the most prolific songwriter I've ever met, having released over eight hours of music since 2020. Super Famicom has always been a solo act, meant to run at its own creative pace. For live shows, I always try to go with songs the people might know and enjoy. With the Winslows, I played the first punk show I've known to be held at Nobby's. Performers drank for free and I couldn't otherwise afford to join in such festivity, so I played at Nobby's a lot between 2008 and 2015. It's an honor to return for Sing Out Loud Fest. I have boxes of tapes in my closet, so I'll bring a bunch and give them away for free.
