The band name came about when the native St. Augustine musicians watched out of town musicians like us become part of the local music scene. They laughingly referred to us as the Carpetbaggers. There you have it….
The Carpetbaggers are:
David Watt Besley, Brady Green, Frankie Urzetta, George Reeves, Laurence Stevenson, Sue Seymour Westcott, and Tony Scozzaro.
Honorary members are John Winters, Bob Semancik, Woody Pernell and Bill Mullen
