Sparrow Smith

Sparrow Smith is an independent guitarist/singer/songwriter/bassist playing music incorporating elements of rock, pop and ez listening. Her original songs combine simple melodies with funny, sometimes thought-provoking, lyrics.

She grew up in Gainesville FL where she began her musical journey performing acoustically in church and then local spots. She made the switch to electric guitar and played in a number of cover and original bands before moving to the Mid-Atlantic area. There she founded the all-girl punk/rock band Scarlet O and then the regionally successful rock band Mommi im Scared. She briefly switched back to acoustic performances before once again forming bands including Ros Wilting and PlantFace, where she sang and played bass.

Sparrow moved back to her home state of Florida in Oct 2022 and released her EP 'Sparrow Smith Six Pack' in 2024. Her album 'Good Enough' was released on March 4th, 2026. Both were independently recorded and are currently streaming on most platforms. She is out and about playing her songs when and where she can.
