shy blossom is an indie alternative rock band from Florida, blending haunting melodies, atmospheric guitars, and emotionally driven songwriting into a sound that is both intimate and powerful. Led by singer-songwriter Adriana McDonald, the band creates music rooted in vulnerability, storytelling, and the raw energy of alternative rock influences.

Originally built from Adriana’s bedroom songwriting during the isolation of COVID, shy blossom has grown into a full live experience, featuring Adriana on vocals/guitar alongside drummer Julie Copithorn and bassist Nicole. The band also performs select shows as a stripped-down duo, highlighting the emotional core of the songs through vocals, guitar, and percussion. With influences ranging from Radiohead and PJ Harvey to Mitski and Deftones, shy blossom’s music moves between dark atmospheric soundscapes and explosive rock moments.

The band’s debut album Bloom broke into the Top 100 on the NACC charts as an unsigned artist and featured David Abbruzzese. Their EP Stardust continued their momentum, earning award recognition including a Josie Music Awards win for Social Impact Music Video of the Year. Having performed across Florida and beyond — including opening slots for Sister Hazel and appearances at major events — shy blossom brings a cinematic, emotional, and unforgettable live performance to every stage.
