Ghost Tropic

Ghost Tropic, led by singer-songwriter Jae Bass, is a St Augustine band that has existed in many forms since 2013, featuring Christiana Patterson on violin/viola and Neil Ewbank on drums. The songs of Ghost Tropic blend ambient rock, dreamy melodies, and a touch of drone, shifting from quiet, atmospheric moments to big, energetic crescendos. Jae’s songs explore themes of love, death and everyday life, and are influenced by artists like The Velvet Underground, Jason Molina, Yo La Tengo, and Galaxie 500. Ghost Tropic released their album, High, in 2024 - available on major streaming platforms, with a vinyl release coming soon.
