Emily Mikus

Emily Mikus was born and raised in a small town north of Jacksonville called Callahan, Florida. Growing up with rockstar father, Tony Mikus of Big Engine, Emily has always felt music close to her heart. It all started when she chose to pick up the saxophone in the middle school band, so she could play rock and roll with her dad's band when she got older. Little did she know this would catapult her into the music industry.

In high school, Emily attended Douglas Anderson School of the Arts to further her career as a musician. She continued to play jazz and classical saxophone, but also discovered a true love for singing and songwriting. As a graduate from both an arts high school and receiving a music business degree from Jacksonville University in 2024, Emily has let nothing get in her way of chasing her dreams and pursuing music as a career, even a vocal cord injury. She has beat the odds, enduring speech therapy and vocal coaching after being diagnosed with vocal nodes in 2024. Emily has been a part of the Jax Beach Country Fest in 2024 and 2025 as a solo acoustic act, and performs all around Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia. She is now healed from her vocal cord injury and pursuing a career as a full time country singer/songwriter and solo acoustic musician. She plans to continue writing and recording country music for the world to hear!
